Bellendene Vineyard is a 3 acre vineyard started in 1981 in the rolling hills of Carroll County Maryland. Elevation of the vineyard is 618 feet. Vineyard faces Southeast in Mt Airy Tannery Loam soil, ideal for grape growing in the East.

Grapes will be available for home winemakers in 2007.


Starting the 3rd to 4th week in September, Wine Grapes Available Include:
Pinot Noir (fruity, medium red color)
$1.50 lb
Chardonnay (apple, pear, buttery)
$1.25 lb
SeyVal (white, French-American hybrid, flinty - a great dry or semi sweet wine )
.90 lb

Early October Wine Grapes Available Include:

Blaufraukisch (Lemberger, Spiced Black Fruit Flavors, Deep red grape)
$1.25 lb

Mid October and Later Wine Grapes Available Include:
Cabernet Franc (fruity, medium bodied)
$1.25
Cabernet Sauvignon (deeper red, more tannin)
$1.25
The above 2 grapes, along with Merlot, make up Bordeaux Blend in France or Meritage in California.
Chambourcin (dark berried French hybrid)
$1.25
Vidal Blanc (white hybrid – citrus, crisp, great for late harvest ice wine)

Preorders of wine grapes are recommended to ensure you get an adequate supply. We are a local grape grower in Maryland located in Carroll County close to Frederick Maryland and Southern PA.

Stemmer-crusher is available for your use. We do not ship.

just east of Tyrone Road on Rt 832.
